Air con

Good afternoon all. The lastest issue with my 52 plate facelift Disco. Noticed yesterday that the air con is no longer working and the cooling fan doesn’t appear to be operating. I’ve checked the obvious, as in fuses, but haven’t looked any deeper as I know the limits of my incompetence. Any advice would be welcomed. Thanks.

I am no expert on AC but.

Pop to your local ac guys and just check you have gas, might be a good place to start. If no gas that’s a good place to start, first check why it has gone.
Does the ac pump clutch click in?

Only ever had 2 issues with ac, both first diagnostic from “experts” in both cases was the ac compressor both times that wasn’t the case.
I proved 1 case by Hot wiring the compressor pump clutch and all was cold turned out to be a pressure switch in the system (p38)
Second case (L322) all clicked and run just wasn’t cold all the time (it had gas) monitored on diagnostics and pump pressure looked good, ended up being low pressure valve? (Expansion valve?)

I won’t go near ac gas personally but you can buy kits to diy, but not for me. They all work on pretty much the same principle, I am sure the manual describes how the system works and what switches what (it’s been a while).

Thanks for that. It was re-gassed in June of last year, I don’t suppose that has any bearing on it.
