Ordered a new aircon rad on Friday and it has just turned up, I'm frustrated as guess what isn't included?

New Seals!!!

so it's about as much use as a chocolate tea pot right now!!! why do people sell this ****e???

So guess my next question is, does anyone have the part numbers for the seals??

Just standard Aircon green O'rings 9mm and 11mm. Use the old ones just turn them round stick a bit of pag on them. They seldom leak. Your biggest challenge maybe getting the pipes out of the old unit without goring them.

Job done :)

Bottom of the old condensor fell off it was that shot!!

Completely missing the fins from the bottom and most of the others were falling out once I started to move everything.

New one in, found new O rings in the garage :) and managed to remove the pipes from the old one with no damage to them on my knuckles!!

Will you be putting old one on eBay? :D:D

Did you need to take the bumper off to do this

My condenser will arrive tomorrow, I really plan on doing as little dismantling as possible.

You don't need too, I found it much easier with the bumper off, but then I have moved my gearbox cooler rad in the way :p

First undo

the arrows show where the bonnet release cable is attached

then.....

you will have to remover the plastic side parts to gain access to the lower bolts holding the intercooler (pink arrows show where they are)

They undo 2 vertical bolts at the top of the condensor

and 2 at the bottom (access can be done through here)

The intercooler will now come out (watch rad bleed hose) then the condensor will have to come forwards around and inch then lift up and out (providing you've removed the hoses (19mm Spanner and watch those knuckles)

then just read that backwards and it will go back together :)

Cool thanks for that. I had that top panel off a week or two back, The top o/s mounting for the fans is not even connected, seems to be only a pin hole leak though,

When I first read this post, I messaged on ebay my rad supplier, o-rings not included but they are now if you know what I mean.

It's an easy job with the bumper in place:)

I thought when I had a quick look it seemed simple enough, Rave suggests removing battery box and ECU which to me seemed bizarre.

When I saw pic minus bumper, I wondered where they had hidden a couple of bolts just to make a simple job a PITA
