i cant seem to get my air con to work.i can only get it to 16, on the screen and its warm air blowing out.am i doing something wrong or is my air con not working?
 
I know the system is slightly different on my Disco 1 but I had a problem with mine where getting improved cold air was to operate the control to heat. Turned out to be the temperature control switch.

Alternatively you could be suffering as I am today, reduced gas so need a recharge.

Should be going past 16 to the word "low" and then it blows cold...16 will feel warm at this time of the year

I'm assuming you have climate control, not just aircon? So you have a screen to set temps.

First thing is to press the "Auto" button, then set both temp to about 17 and with the engine running, after perhaps 1 or 2 mins it should start to blow cold.
 
I'm also having this problem whereby it's blowing warm irrespective of aircon on or off. Went to get the aircon pressure tested & refilled, worked for 3 days now it's back to blowing warm and sometimes cool but defo not cold. 18 and below was always cold. I'm slowly having to rebuild this vehicle and it's driving me crazy.
 
You should be able to leave the A/c set on about 20 degs year round, and it should be very cold at 18 degs so you have a problem, maybe a leak which should have showed up when it was re-gassed i believe!
 
I suspect Kwik-Fit haven't the ability to tackle any repair work to aircon systems, but can re-gas them. So, instead of looking for the reason it needs re-gassed, all they'll do is re-gas them, get the money and can't care less about whether it all leaks out again after a day or two.

"Shall we do a brake check while you're here. It's free". Bet the repairs that need doing aren't though. "Oh we've done your free brake check and your braking is very poor. Lucky we caught it. It needs new pads and disks all round". Funny that, they were okay when I came in.

A) it is illegal to refill a system that is suspected of a leak.
B) they can check pressure to see if it has dropped.
C) I think it is their company policy to refund in full if they don't "cure" an air con problem.
