hi all got rid of my defender and got a disc 2 1999 happy with it so far but i dont know how the suspension works when i push the button at stand still the compressor comes on the truck lifts all good but when i drive off the ride height starts to flash and i think im going down (not sure on that one) can i have some help please

May be a stupid question, but have you read the destruction book.

iirc, ride height will drop to std height at 18mph.

Oh and get your EKA code........LOL

I doubt it, I drive off road every day, and have done for 30 years.

Maybe you need to learn to write proper English, and get a manual for your vehicle, then you wouldnt have to ask novice questions! :)

Well it is normal, if it happens at 18mph, or almost 30kmh, But having the owners manual and the workshop manual will be a brucey bonus for you.
Also it is worth checking the current height when set to std height on the level. Make sure it is where it is meant to be.

Do not ignore the EKA comment above. :D

i am English just because people cant spell and are not perfect at grammar does not give you the right to slag them off. i only got the truck two days ago and was just asking a simple question if you have nothing good to say then go and post some where else

Try capital letters at the beginning of sentences for starters. And I wasnt slagging you off. You made a derogatory comment, that I should try France if I wanted "proper" off road.
Thereby implying that British off roading was inferior.
And I will post where I want, as I have done 17,000 times over the last 7 years! :)

i made no comment about uk off road and just to clear the air what does fer mean as in your first comment ?
 
Your suspension will automatically lift to the off road height if it knows you're really stuck and/or grounded as well, it beeps and flashes as it goes down when you get to road speeds or as the chaps said... 18mph, so you can just drive off after your off roading trip and it'll go back to normal road height for you. If you're looking to keep it up at the height, I believe you can programme the normal height to be greater, but expect the air springs life to be much shorter and as soon as you press that lift button by mistake bang goes your suspension from underneath you, so not too wise to be doing over 18mph up high :)

Hi Ryan,

How goes the Series?

I am not sure it works this way, I always assumed you cannot programme a height setting for the raised position, and as such it is a setting for the height sensors to meet that is hard stored into the system, Not an addition to the std height saved in the parameters that is changeable using nanocom or a hawkeye. If you get my meaning. If it is an addition to what can be set by the user , then that could get dangerous if you set the std height higher than recommended. .....:oops::oops:

Are you going to try it or shall I????.....................:D:D
