After market switch

ok, dumb blonde question... My Freelander has an after market on / off rocker switch to the right of the steering wheel, on the firewall fascia. I have no idea what it does other than make the car beep twice. I’m thinking this is not only reason for it’s existence. It is a professionally done installation, with a bright red LED. There is nothing in the manual.

Any ideas?

A picture of it might help. But if it's an aftermarket addition, it won't be in the handbook. So unless you can find out what it's for, it's just guesswork.

did the installer note on any fuses that there was an extra circuit?

No, I was hoping the two beeps, one long and on short were indicative of a common modification. Guess I’ll start following wires

Ok, solution was......

Front parking sensors....
it appears someone fitted a big kill switch for them but stuffed it up a little. All works now
