hi everyone, advice please,
I’ve got a 2003 freelander (commercial) Van td4, and would like to fit bigger rims, currently has 14” rims, would like to fit 15” or possibly 16” would this work? It’s only used for light duties (off road for dogs and pigeon shooting gear, otherwise just road work, rarely tows) so would like to raise the gearing by using taller wheels basically. Will this cause problems??
If so where can I get I get some any recommendations?

Bigger tires and wheels will do what yer want. It's a topic we have discussed in the freelander section below many times. I would suggest having a look int there at what others are running. Never come across 14 inch FL wheels. If i were you i would get the tire size oft the side of yer tires and compare this to standard lr factory fit. It might be a case yer running smaller tires which will have an impact on top speed int each gear. There are websites which will calculate the difference between different tire sizes. Like 10% greater diameter. Peeps on ere have also worked out what the max tire size is yer can run without it catching.
