Advice please... is Britpart OEM??

I shopped around for some OEM springs for my 110 and spoke to a guy at Famous Four in Lincs.... I bought a full set of OEM springs 2 @£17.50 and 2 @£19.50 plus VAT. Complimented by Monroe shocks.

I have just opened the box and to my horror the springs are Britpart

I would never have bought Britpart.... besides I can get them for £13 at Paddocks.

I am gutted.... this is the ref on the site.. Famous Four - Part Information for FF001004

Have I been shafted or is it my mistake?

send them back, get them to send the correct product. Britpart are not used by Land Rover for anything. FF are a pretty good company so Im hopeing you should be ok.

As Griff says...oem is as you prob know, original equipment manufacturer...this is not britpart.

Thank you, just wanted to be sure.... I will call them in the morning. I cant describe how gutted I was when I opened the box and saw Britpart. Just need to stay calm.... still shaking my head. :doh: Brings back childhood memories of getting empty boxes at xmas... most disturbing. I need a very large vodka and coke!

Sorted... rang Famous Four and it appears the supplier had changed the spec without telling them. Very helpful... they will collect the Britpart and supply GENUINE LR springs at the best price possible for an extra £65.80p in VAT
I make that £152.75 for a set of 110 genuine LR springs

thats a great price.
Hats of to Famous Four... they messed up, sorted it straight away. Very pleased

I got my OEM HD springs from Landrover Wakefield for £130 for the set. So its often worth checking with Landrover first.
