Morning all,
So, the other half and I have been talking........
I have a repeat showing from the three amigos on my D2 which has prompted her to suggest I replace the D2 and my Passat B6 estate and get something a bit newer and more reliable. Shes also suggested she sells her car and we reduce our fleet down to two , and have a 4x4 and a smaller everyday car.
Now, her first suggesting for a 4x4 was a BMW X5, so you can guess what I told her to do with that idea!! So, I suggested going for either a D3 or a Range Rover Vogue. My thinking, I still want something I can take green laning, so I'm favouring the D3.
I'm looking to get an idea of day to day running costs, what you pay for things like servicing etc.
Also, some stories about how you find them away from the tarmac, and if you use them for green laning, whats fuel economy like there?
Admittedly, I've not even started to look into mods yet, but guessing they'll be more expensive than the D2. First thing would definitely be a snorkel and a decent set of A/T tyres.
