Adjusting Idle RPM

What make of carburettor is fitted. Does it run rough, is the ignition timing checked. Assuming yes to the last two, the Weber and Zenith have only two possibilities. A dirty idle jet tends to effect running and not idling- you get backfire and cutting out at low revs. For a Weber, the idle jet is the brass flathead screw on the engine side of the carb. Unscrew it carefully and clean with non lint cloth or tissue and blow through the jet hole at the side to clear any carbon and refit. For the idle adjustment it's the screw above the accelerator link to the far inside corner. You need to establish a baseline by screwing it all the way in, then screw it out say one and a half turns and try that setting. If it's too low screw out another half turn until you find a nice steady idle speed. Make sure that the engine is warmed up and choke off. Someone got the sequence for a Zenith? You can download this stuff by googling.
