hi all,

As title says I have fault code "04-02 direction control valve 2 current out of range".
My ACE is leaking and needs fixed (when the weather gets better this is my first priority)

I checked other threads but they mostly had a few fault codes, I have only this one.
What is the changes the Valve is faulty and can these be got? I will check the wires when the rain stops.

Any other pointers?

If this fault code was shown by nanocom it might be wrong, double check with hawkeye or other to make sure... or unplug the pressure transducer and read codes again

btw do you have the warning on? cos if not the code is hystorical and you can forget about it

No warning lights on at all, Where is the pressure transducer? I am a noob on ACE system and problems.

Is the ACE warning light working on ignition self test? if yes erase that fault code and leave the system alone, that code if it was present it should have kept the warning on

I will check, cheers again Sieraferry. I need to get a leak sorted on the block, don't want to that to find out it need to be disconnected again. I will check if the light comes on to be sure.

OK, I have ordered these:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LAND-ROVE...532777?hash=item567266e2a9:g:b1YAAOSwv0tVDAgF

I have not found anyone with a hawkeye yet :( but my ACE is seriously leaking after some off roading this weekend.
It seems a botch job has been done on them as I saw red gasket seal coming out of the connection at the seal plate (or what ever it is called)

What else would I need for this job; I know a person with a hawkeye and the above pipe collets.

Which O rings do I and what type of bulb goes in the dash?

What are the changes it is all down to the leaking pipes?

What I am also worried about is that some gasket seal has entered the system now. Worth replacing the wee filter too I suppose?

You need the pipe insert seals at the block(RVW100010) to stop the leak, the warning is not a bulb it's a LED and rarely fails, i doubt that there's the problem, it's rather a setting thing or black tape in front of it

OK, is it worth checking how many pipes are leaking or just replace the lot?
I hope it is a bit of tape as I tried to switch the light on with the nanocom but it didn't work or is that because the nanocom is crap for the ACE system?

I presume that the warning lamp is forced in the BCU's menu not ACE so it should work OK, the only area where nanocom is not reliable is the fault code reading and sometimes the calibration of the ACE system, you should replace all te seals on the side where it's leaking IMO

if its possible ,many mean destruction of pipes to remove seals

The pipes and block look very clean and new, no rust or damage visible (there is of course the bit I can't see).
The thing that worries me is that they tried to gasket seal in it.

I order 4 of those RVW100010 and replace the whole lot. Hopefully it is all down to leaking pipes.
I will try and find someone with a hawkeye while I wait for parts.

Cheers. Never done this before so I am looking forward to it. I will be back when it is done!!!
Did you get this problem sorted. I have the same fault reading on my ACE system with the exception that my yellow ACE warning lamp comes on after the car is driven for a few miles. Goes out again once the engine is switched off but will come back on again as soon as a bend is negotiated?

Did you get the codes read?

Any Leaks?

Sierra. My warning light comes on after 10 or so miles and goes out after I turn off ignition but, will come back on again as soon as I drive into first bend. I am getting the 04-02 Direction control valve current out of range on my Nanocom. Fault wont erase. Where do I go from here?....Thanks for any help and sorry for hijacking thread....
