Will also see if they want the landy... sounds a laugh
Reading between the lines they may be a little low on numbers. When I emailed them and asked if my Landy classified at only 21 yrs old, they replied saying 'in our eyes it was a modern classic'. :) It'll be good to have a few of the Landy fraternity represented.

Well, it's been a cracking day. Drove up on Friday after work. It took 5hrs non shop
The history and spec of each car was read out when it was your turn to set off.

Rained a little at the start, but had sunny spells all day making the scenery look superb.

And this is the Caledonian canal going in to Loch Ness at Fort Augustus.

A well organised and relaxed event in superb scenery. :)

Took some top of tank to top of tank mileage readings. On the day we did the rally it averaged 40+mpg  Mind you were were tootling around in 3rd and 4th on not much more than tick over a lot of the time. Is that possible or have I cocked up the measurements there? Pretty sure it's right. On the way back it averaged 32.56mpg. Was sat at 56/58mph occasionally up to 60-65 when overtaking.

Nice, wish I could have made it up there myself!
It would be a canny drive for you too. Yeah, it would have been good to see a few of the LZ members there.
How did you find out about it? Most people taking part seemed to be local. The organisers were shocked when we turned up from Northumberland. They mentioned how far we had travelled a few times and we got a £50 Tesco voucher for being the furthest travelled entry.

I hope Inverness Tesco has a petrol station then!
I found about it 'cos my wife told me. She found it online somewhere.

Yes, the Inverness Tesco does have a petrol station. :) Did over 700 miles  Thoroughly enjoyed it and we were made very welcome. Didn't see Nessie though :(

2 of the 3 Tesco's have petrol stations attached. ASDA are restricted to the outer limits - it only took them 20 years to get planning permission!
Nessie pops in for Sunday lunch every 3 weeks at the Glenmoriston Arms hotel - honest!:D

Drove past that hotel on Saturday, but never thought to go in to look for Nessie. I'm going back for Sunday lunch next weekend! :D

You'll have a 1 in 3 chance of seeing her then. It is 26 years since I worked there, mind.... but it was a nice wee place, back in the day....
