90 wipers

Hello people, right was going to work last night in the rain when the dredded happened, wiper fail. Late for work, bollocking off boss and drenched right through = me not happy, had a look today at it and a bit stuck. 1998 300tdi 90 the wiper motor will turn them half way but not back down again. If i leave motor running it will always turn them up but not down, any ideas please

Well it seems that the cable that runs in the linkage had snapped off inside the wiper motor, hence the motor pushing but not pulling. Replacement ordered for monday.

Hi, I had the same issue, and ordered a replacement cable, however I found that the replacement cables had a different thread pitch and hence would not work with my original wheel boxes.

Ended up replacing the whole lot...just a warning.

Pick it up tomorrw so fingers crossed, lol cheers
