90 hazards/indicator issues

Hello,

My hazard light switch packed in a few weeks ago, fitted a new one (cheapy off fleabay) and after a week the switch was playing up only allowing r/h indicators to flash when the hazard switch was depressed unless you push the switch in a little then you could get both side hazards to work. Anyway bought a nice Lucas 26 pounder and fitted it yesterday, both side hazards work a treat but now when i indicate the hazard lights come on, is there different varients of switch or am i missing something else?

Sounds like an earth issue. Also have you checked the flasher relay?

Flashers ok, have had to cut off the top 4 prongs from the switch just to give me indicators to get me home tonight and then will try another (3rd) switch, I think its the switch and I'm that unlucky but should know by end of the week, was hopefull I just oit an incorrect tyoe switch and that I wasn't the only one with this issue

Unsure but does the switch have an earth on it?(think on the side)
