I'm after a late 4.6 block, pistns and crankshaft if anyone knows of one for sale ( Rover V8 }
 
Why a late one? I guess you mean a thor. Crank block pistons connrods heads etc are identical. Just certain components differ, front cover for one. I wouldn't buy any block from a used engine unless it was from a (close!) Friend. Top hat is the way early or late. The rest is ok used.
