4.0 petrol power loss

Hi, any suggestions. Driving up M11 70mph[ish] power dropped off, couldn't even overtake Ford Ka! Tacho fluctuated whilst on steady throttle, power wouldn't increase easily. Clled in at Services,had a coffee, restarted easily, still not much power. Called it a day, trucked home by RAC. they did mention Airflow Meter??

i would try maf senser first, you can unplug it when engine is warm. get some body to keep it running when you unplug it..

Might be worth taking out and cleaning it
