i love the new style! its not that different!! Just nicer and more comfy! My mate has a 06 fiesta with the same style air vents (they are on most new cars now days)

i would buy one if i had the money!

Um . .I'm 20! Just spent the last 4 years playing with Motorcycles thats all! Plus i know a lot more than most people think!


Whats wrong with the vents! They are standered issue in most Cars now days! and you get those vents in everything from Polo's to Gallardo's!

Its about time the Defender got into the 21st century before it became extinct! oh and there are pleanty of older ones about for all you old Farts!

so, you buy a defender cos you like it then spend your time moaning about how old fashioned it is and how you as a spotty 20 year old would change it and modernise it. go get a saxo and join yer mates ffs

I seem to remember old cars/lorries having the vents similar to the new Defender. Mabe Land Rover found them in a dusty corner & the designers had to shave of a few £££££££££ as Ford had over charged for the oil burning engine & thats how it has ended up with the RETRO Vent's

VW Campers 1970 to 1980 curved screen that's where i have seen them vents normally blocked off with sponge or an old tea towell so have the desighners been looking at the old VW's for inspiration?

Maybe so, but then Polos and Gallardos aren't meant for carrying around 3/4 of a ton of scaffolding in them, so a plastic vent and cowl isn't going to get broken and need replacing quite as often is it?

Only thing in the front of mine that can get broken by a loose scaffold board or flying toolbox would be me - and since it's usually me chucking it in the back I reckon I'm safe enough. Fill it full of stereo and plastic vents and stuff is just going to break - besides, where do you chuck the empty cans and fag packets in that new one eh? On the floor where no-one can see 'em? WTF is the point in that!?

I am just saying its good they are updating it but keeping its character!

Mines a 90 not a Defender! Oh and the reason most spotty teenages have suckso's (saxo) and Nova's is because they think they are quick!

But apart from my lovely old landy my other toy is a 06 Yamaha XJR1300. So if i want to go fast i use that and have no need for a expensive to insure boy racer car! if i was 40 not 20 you would not of said most of what you said!!!

Oh and i love my 90! its great just how it is! If they had made the inside of the 07 like a gaylander or a Disco then i would said its bad! but if you look at some of the other photos in some of the landy mags you can clearly see that it is only updated not completly changed!

Oh and i dont moan because mines old!

Oh and 1 of my mates had the fiesta, another had a '74 VW Camper (in bright yella with Liptons icetea on the side) and the 3 other of my mates rides Motorcycles! (fazer 600, ZX10r & Fireblade)

Yes my spelling is VERY Bad! and i am sorry!

All i mean is that the defender needs to feel more morden but still needs to keep its character!

Oh and with the scafolding (see spelling again) there is a roof, Vans, Trailer or / Older Defenders or it might be stronger than it looks!

I think i need to dig out some more photo's!
