Wehay! another trayback :D
defo needs a bit more work on the ends of that bumper to make it curve round IMO

yeah, the bumper will be better if i do use it, it was just to make a point initially hehe )

i have been reading thru your thread for a while, and it put the idea of a tray back into my head haha. i cant see most of the pics on your thred tho, unsire why :/

I've moved them to a folder and all the links are fubar. If you look on my albums you can see them all. Just cant get the motivation to reload every link!

not done much today, went under and sprayed all nits and bolts with penetrating oil :)
had it out in the park and got muddy already haha, so up on ramps and powerwashed all underneath. more tomorrow hopefully :)

keep the pics coming mate, i'm after one for a tray back project...

already done the bobtail, (bobtail or not thread), and had to sell it due to finances..:(...deffo tray back next time!!

i was thinking of bobtail, but then thought, #### it, why not trayback ? haha
just uploading some pics now :) ....

was out most of the day so didnt get much done, started off by draining out the doozil, just got distracted and it over flowed all over the floor

cut this off :)
anyone want a disco rear x member with tube bumper and recovery points ? dose not come with shackles and towbar tho.
#

unsure wether to mount this big toolbox on the back or not, opinions ?

off to the bank tomorrow, hoping ive got pennies, then fingers crossed go get metaland get some more done.
going to make a removable towbar for this as i still need to tow a transporter sometimes.

someone has replaced the sills before, bit its terrible, box section is the wrong size, and not even conected to the chassis at the back, only the body. but conected to the chassis at front but not the body, wtf ? haha
will see about getting some body lift spacers made up too.
am going to replave the front footwell floorpans, dont want them a patchwork as they will be seen.

whats best to do with the chassis ? theres only a tiny hole to weld, but a good bit of cerfice rust, wire brush then...?? ive got some hammerite direct to rust, bust u painted it on the rear shocks on mums disco a while ago and it has started to flake off

The tool box looks a bit big, but if you can fit in in with a fuel tank go for it. For the rust... clean it up with a grinder or wheel and use rust converter then that red protection paint (forgotten the name) then hammerite. Whats your plan for the back of the cab?

it is big, and heavy, but i dont think thats a bad thing ? more weight at the back might help with many things :) (too early in the morning for brain to work right and explain my thoughts haha)

back of the cab will get a box section frame then thin sheet steel over it, thinking a run of angle iron along the roof join to make it neat. dosnt have to be too strong as im building a full cage anyways.

hopefully away to get box for the sills today :)
