Loss of revs/ Power and LOTS of BLACK smoke

Went away for the weekend and it was fine got us there and then back to collect people and luggage then on the way back up it seemed to slow right down so i put some more diesel in thinking the fuel gauge wasn’t working. then I went to pull away and looked in the mirror and couldn’t see anything for all the smoke and it wasn’t pulling properly so... I figured out if I drove easy it was ok but took a life time to reach 50 and that was with the help of a hill.

I chose to ignore it while I relaxed for the weekend and on my way home I couldn’t get above 40 without a hill and the smoke was that bad I couldn’t see a car behind me.

The smoke only really come when you press the accelerator past half way but the engine doesn’t seem to rev very much at all.

Hope this makes sense.

start checking your turbo hoses. I'm guessing that one of them has de-laminated, split or popped off. If your air filter got wet or hasn't been changed for a bit it can get ingested by the air intake so it's worth checking that too.

its more than just a pipe. had a look so decided to start taking pipes off.

turns out the air filters been wet and clogged and the suction has pulled pars of the wet filter in to the intercooler.

iv cleamers all the pipes out with petrol so they are just drying off now!!

the turbo spins properly now just need to connect it back up and hopefully its sorted.
