well all done. New clutch in. The old one had broken up well the spinner plate had,but had plenty of life left on the friction pad, hence no slipping. Big thanks to stu for all your help today mate. Found dropping the gearbox down worked out better for us. Disco stu has taken pictures so i'm sure he will upload later lol.

@jason2 didn't really have any apart from a judder every now on then when setting off in first. Then not being able to select any gears without grinding lol.

@gratch no matey its wasn't alittle shock to be honest as it was a borg and beck. Looked fairly new,as did the fork.

Didn't look like it had much wear, looks like all the rivets holdin it together have failed which is why I asked. Surprised a B&B failed like that.

yeah me to i've fitted a few now in different cars and have never had that happen. Thing is i replaced it with a b&b. Only other clutch offered was a LUK one and have had issues with them.

Reason I ask is that I have to change my Def clutch next week, it was already changed last year (before I got the vehicle) and I have the same problem, difficult gear selection, especialy first and reverse I have to stop engine, stick it in reverse, and start up again!

yep when mine went completely had to switch off select a gear and restart,oh and hold on for dear life lol. One thing i will say is that as will disco stu and that is hire, borrow, steal,or buy and engine hoist. Makes the job really easy to do.
