i have proven ABS sensor fault.
When i do reset all lights clear, and the handbrake warning light works as normal (on off with handbrake operation )
But can you tell me why its coming on and staying on alongside the 3 amigos.
Do i have another fault
Cant see anything on hawkeye, but it is new to me.
Done search on here but alot of links to possible help are now gone
Thanks
Mark

Yes i think your right, but in my case pads ok, fluid level and switch ok, handbrake switch ok.
Its not a shuttle valve problem is it ?

Take the lid off the fluid reservoir and there are some contacts inside it, they corrode and cause a bad circuit, clean them with abrasive and re assemble

That red brake warning(named "brake" in the attached file) is a built in part of the 3 amigos, it should be there all the time but in reality it isnt, so when it's there is 100% correct fault warning and when it isnt it's a glitch, it will be there usually on complete sensor signal failure, if you have a confirmed sensor fault fix that and it will dissapear as well... there is no sensor for the pads on a D2, that warning is for handbrake, low fluid or part of the 3(4) amigos

I have been hostess to all of these lights for over 8 years now and every possible cause has been investigated by several mechanics to try to get to the bottom of it. All failed! No matter which diagnostic machine is used, the same answer comes up - 'Ground reference fault'. Sometimes they disappear and stay away for many months, even a year, and sometimes they are there almost all the time! I can never say that I have found a common situation that causes them to come on.
