3.9efi won’t start

Hi guys I have a 3.9efi disco I’m building at the moment and all has been going well until last night I started the truck and drove it out the shed to tidy up and when I went back to put the truck in the shed it first started on around 4 cylinders and stopped and now it will only turn over won’t fire. Noticed a small fuel leak at the inline filter so I repaired this today but still no joy. I am getting fuel at the schrader valve on the fuel rail but no joy otherwise

Dead coil would get my vote if its a D1.

What’s the best way to test this or just buy a new part ?

Connect your multimeter to the positive terminal or pin of your coil, and to the output terminal that goes to the spark plug. Most ignition coil should have a resistance falling somewhere between 6,250 to 10,500 ohms.

There a bit more to it than how to test the coils secondary circuit, so here’s the link below with step by step
The link is specific to a single cylinder engine obviously by stating “ output terminal that goes to the spark plug” that doesn’t directly happen with a multi cylinder engine, there’s a distributor first.

Hi guys cheers checked the coil and it was grand so checked spark plugs and they were coked up so put 8 new plugs in and also put new ht leads on and now running sweet as a nut.
