Hi All
I have picked up a 24V fan heater and wondered if anyone knows the wiring for it. It is an Airmax (A.K. Fans ltd.) Type X10555/1. Says 28V supply and VF2111949 is also written on it, as well as a serial no. The plug is a 26mm dia round plug with cannon written in it. There are 4 wires (terminals A a B are thick wires and terminals C and D are thin wires) and it has it's own on and off switch. I figured the thinner ones run the fan and the thicker ones are the heater element. However when I connected the 2 thin ones to 24V they got VERY hot VERY quickly. Resistance between 2 thinner wires is 0.3ohm and between thicker wires is 1 ohm. There is no circuit between a thick and thin wire terminal pair. The unit is unused and shiny but may well be old. Wondered whether it may have been marked up wrongly and is a 12V unit?? Any ideas appreciated.
