2010 freelander wheels for 2002 freelander

Hi guys

Do any of you know whether the 16" & 17" rims fitted to the latest generation freelander will fit on to a 2002 model freelander? or are we talking mods, spacers and loads of work generally, or will they just bolt straight on?

so what wheels do you guys use on here or is it just a buy it and drive it with whatever wheels it comes with? i was hoping to turn my old tired freelander in to more of a modern looking chunky vehicle. i got the same response when i asked about discovery wheeld on a freelander. is it the case that the freelander is incompatible with all wheels other than those it was born with?

oh well that's a shame. wheels are often a good way to cheer up and modernise your car but the freelander is allergic to wheels other than those which the factory gave it. never mind, modding it seems is for other makes / models but not the freelander - sounds like there is a market there for modding the freelander

6j x 16 5 stud, plenty on ebay, but don't know it any modification etc needed....could always ask the seller the question. Maybe you'll be the one of the first to try...

a set of 18 inch sport wheels usually does the trick

are those the sport rims in your pics on your blue TD4 2004? what model were those wheels off?

yep mate...they were fitted to 'sport' models from 2004

apparently wheelbase in chadderton OL9 sell these wheels for the freelander I. has anyone any experience of these?
