200tdi transferbox

my transferbox gaveout on my 1991 200tdi manual. had a replacement one fitted last week at a cost of £250, and now my truck won't go above 60mph. so does anybody have any clues as to why?

any ideas as to where the codes are on the transfer case. it also slows down now going up hills. well more than it used to. cambelt was changed less than 4000 miles ago.

to the left of the brake drum, on the rear face of the Tbox usually.

I might be wrong but I think the codes are next to to filler plug.

bottom rear of case near hand brake drum or a littlr further round on passenger side
