Hi Mates,

Do I have to actually drill out rivets to access the heater core box? I want to remove it all togeather and that seems to be the way...can't believe that.

Cheers.

Found this, no drilling required.

Can't imagine the screen getting cold enough to condense water vapour in Barbados! It's tremendous to read about someone wanting to get rid of the little heating capacity there is, usually its complaining about freezing half to death :hysterically_laughi

Removing the heater core to make room and to check for bulk head rust or rot...and trust me, you guys have not seen cold yet.

When you have to live where it hits -40 deg cel without the wind chill, then you are talking a bit on the crispy side. :D

As a matter of fact I think I will be having fun removing the heater core, almost there.

Not seen many Landies on the island outside the tour vehicles.

Last one was in the car park next to Just Grillin in Holetown opposite the Beach House.

Have not been looking properly :D there are many on the island and new defenders are still being sold.

There is a well stocked a Brit dealer here but due to the high cost of everything here, the prices are 4 to 5 times higher to that in the UK.

The army still use defenders and so does many government ministries, as a matter of fact, I bought mine from a government minister.

Got the whole useless poo poo out, happy I did. There is rust behind and the morons who work on or rather destroy people's cars here had wires rubbing the exhaust manifold.

Another moron made a patch for the dash and left no room for the wire loom to come through so the metal was cutting its way into the wires.

I hate lazy, don't give a damn people who take people's money and con them, utter frauds and crooks..wished I knew who it was.

I knew the army and Govt. had them but hadn't spotted many private ones.
