Hi I am new to Landy zone but I am looking for advice I have a RR sport 3.6 TD8 2007 and the MIF light is on showing code P140 this code refers to O2 sensor bank1 post cat.and as far as I can see this model does not have pre and post O2 sensor so I am a bit confused it showing this code. I need it cleared for the MOT can anyone advise me.

I 'think' Bank 1 is passenger side.
Play this vid at half speed and pause it at 12 second mark, all will be revealed.
You'll have another pre and post pair on the driver side also.

Some readers will display 2 extra characters after the code to denote the bank and sensor....
ie. po140 u 1 (bank 1 upstream ) pre cat
or, po140 d 1 (bank 1 downstream) post cat

Hi thanks for the video. the problem is as the video show the sensor are either side of the cat on both cats, on the cats on mine there are no sensors either side of the cat and there are no spigot where they could be fitted.
The cat on mine are these. see link

Ah, maybe that's the 4.4TD in the vid then, a more modern set up.

From a snippet on the Disco 3 forum it appears the 3.6 doesn't have oxygen sensors, as you suspected.
Maybe the codes relate to other components, like Maf or egrs in your particular application.

I would join that forum as the sport is basically a Discovery 3/4, not many on here with either of them.

If you do that and get any clues, post back here as I'm mildly intrigued.

Thank I have posted it on the disco site. I did find one reference to the code it was an old one from a mechanic in Dundee and he said just ignore it as it is a red herring but unfortunately with the MOT changes that cant be done now. If I find a solution I will let you know.
Thanks Study

I do not know your car, but on the P38 post EGR there is a temperature reading out of range as the sensor is no longer used. The MOT test cannot fail you for an absent sensor if that is the way the car was built. could be a dumb MOT tester.
