I have a 2005 Disco SE fitted with HK sound system and sat nav.
I have been experiencing an intermittant problem with the sound system.
The sound from the speakers ceases completely and immediately. Initially this lasted for a few seconds but now it is lasting for much longer, and is more on than off.
Radio, SAT NAV, factory fitted bluetooth and voice commands are all affected.
The radio headunit, SAT nav display and voice commands display all appear to be working fine.
It is as if the sound has been muted, although as I state above the phone is affected as well.
Have taken to the local dealer and they had a quick look, however (un)fortunately the sound was working for them up until about 20mins before I picked it up. They suggest that I bring it back in agaon, but I would like to have a clearer idea of what might be wrong if that is possible.
Did have a jump start while on holidays in France but problem has been ongoing for a while before that (perhaps not as bad though)
ANy thoughts on what might be wrong would be very welcome
