Hi all have a problem with my 2004 disco, was having problems on hills losing power. have removed the egr valve and blanked it off , repalaced the maf sensor and wastegate module . But now it won't start turns over fine but won't fire up. Any idea's please. ps was starting fine before the work was carried out

Hi, Can you hear the fuel pump running? Can you check the fuel pump pressure by screwing a guage in place of the temp sender at the fuel pressure regulator? You need 4 bar, if not the pumps not delivering fuel at pressure.
HTH,
Griff

Thanks for replies .No1, it seems seems as no fuel have ordered a new pump/sender, it could have been the main problem on the hills, as i now remember my y reg disco's fuel pump was playing a few years ago. No2 it's a manual just unlocked it on key fob and still no start. I do recall leaning on th bonnet security switch and it sounded like the doors tried to lock.Dave

borrowed a code reader it comes up with injector 1&2 open circuit. Not being well versed in the art of electricery any ideas

Hi all, thanks for the replies i hope i have found the problem, i removed the injector harness plug to check for oil cleaned and replaced, just rechecked with mirror and found a bent pin . So new harness ordered and hopefully problem solved. Dave

So you straightened out the pin, put it back in and then it ran OK? Or something else? I understand you ordering the new harness to get around the "oil leak into the loom and plug problem". But is it running OK now? Or can you not straighten the pin enough?

Update on non starter. Replaced injector loom, no bent pins and first turn of key and away she goes, hopefully all problems sorted. many thanks for all the inputs.Dave
