2004-2006 Towbar/Rear bumper question

I have just facelifted the rear end of my L series FL and i find the rear bumper is very tight/too tight around the "neck". Is it necessary to cut some of the bumper to fit a towbar on the facelifted FL? or are there different towbars for them maybe?
