hi

i have a td4 freelander 2002 when engine gets hot it gets lumpy on tick over..
ive changed
air filter
fuel filter
crankcase filter
and cleaned the maf sensor

but still the same any ideas??

If it's not getting too hot - as in cooking (overheating).
Try a dose of injector cleaner as a first fix - cheapest fix to try after changing filters.
May take while to show any improvement - if there is none - could be reduced fuel pressure (pump) or injectors. Getting expensive ££££
Give it a good dose of cleaner and see what happens - if it improves you're on the right track.

We have had the problem of misfire that was, due to the plug to the common rail pressure switch not making a proper contact, the plug looked fine and we scratched our heads with this fault, untill i remembered reading a bulitin from LR which mentioned the problem. The contacts can become corroded LR do a replacement updated harness, once we fitted it then the problem had gone, So take the plug off and have a good look at the contacts.

thought i would have a quick look at egr!!
loads of oily crap init...
erg and intake housing now cleaned and blanked waiting for me to fit it tommorrow,

fingers crossed!
