Hi guys, long time posting since my intro post but the RR has kept me busy with lighting upgrades, electrical issues, some serving and a full set of new tyres. My upgrade also includes the head unit, I've gone for an ADT 7" android head unit. Run in the extension leads to the rear and plugged into the rear radio unit and have power and sterring controls to the new head unit but no audio. Apprently I have to run a wire from the AMP CON(trol) wire from the head unit to the DSP with provides power to turn on the amp. Trouble is, this is an older (Alpine) DSP unit with the single connector as opposed to the newer 3 connector unit. I'm trying to track down as to which wire I connect this AMP CON to.

I don't want to risk cutting into cables and inadvertently damaging the unit considering the eye watering cost of replacement. Reaching out hoping you or someone you know might of done this before or has a pin out schedule for this DSP unit.

Cheers,

Mike

Ok, after much faffing around, those who have the same DSP Unit (LEAR XQK000020) will have to cut into the White Wire and provide it with the AMP CON connection from the head unit which provides the 12V to turn the Amp on. Mine, and ATD 7" Android unit has two 'AMP CON' connections from the head unit, it is NOT the one on the quadlock connector, it is one of the auxiliary cables on the Video Out connections plug (Blue Wire).

I have car in bits at the moment but will post some pictures as I try and put the Dash, Cable Channel and boot sections all together.

This head unit sounds really good, not as muffled as my original unit sounded, the performance of the Android head unit is very good, no lag or annoying stuttering like some of the older units I've had in the past.

Hello,
I have the same problem here l322 year 2003. I connected an android unit, everything works, but no sound. Could you please be more specific how to bypass the amplifier (LEAR XQK000020) same as yours? Which white wire do i have to cut? Thank you!

I think is number 8 amp con blue color (android) . I don't know is which one is the White wire ( from the car) to cut and provide connection.
