2002 L322 4.4 V8 Gearbox and diff oils

Hi all! Had a "brain fart" moment and ordered the wrong gearbox service kit.... ordered GM and should have been ZF, have reordered the correct filter.... can I use the same gear oil for ZF as GM?
Servicing my diffs... told 1 litre in front and back... just pulled 1.4 litres from the rear??? Should I just keep pouring until it trickles? I have only bought 2 litres of oil, some sites give 0.8ltrs for front and 1.2ltrs for rear which would work.

Re the gearbox oil, no it needs to be correct one for the zf.

If you have a look on a post from Henry at the bottom he has a guide on how to do the zf box, you may have to turn signitures on in your forum settings.

OK with servicing the box and the level filling etc.. just a bit thick when ordering the parts!
