P38A 2000 DSE Leak off pipe going to nothing...

Hey guys could anyone tell me where this leak off pipe goes to? It's never been connected since I've had the car, can't see anything obvious, though it's soaked at the end... :/

I think it should go back to the pump somewhere....all the injectors should be linked and then the final one should go back to the pump from memory - wammers et al will know more.

Looks more like the pressure pipe for the MAP sensor. If it was spill pipe you would have diesel running out of it when the engine was running. Spill return from number one injector goes to a union on top rear of injection pump. Check where it comes from if from under the mid area of manifold it should be attached to the MAP sensor bolted to top of fuel filter. Your performance will improve dramatically when it is correctly fitted. Bet car is like a slug.

never looked at the photo - wrongly assume at times peeps know their spill pipes from plastic MAP pipes!

Only reason i said spill is it looks exactly the same as a spill pipe, most of the time yes, it is quite slug like!.

Doesn't look long enough to reach the MAP connection on the fuel filter? That's the EGR engine? Might have had some sort of tuning box connected at some stage?

MAP in my version of RAVE is page 324. Page 11 of section 19 = Fuel system.

It is the EGR, and i don't think it is long enough. And it has had a tuning box connected, but I do have spill pipe spare so could replace.

EGR is connected in photo. Fit pipe from under manifold to MAP sensor.

Sorry @wammers we meant the egr version of engine. That is still the plan, i get off work in 5 minutes.

I did I did, better pick up response I'd say.

Had to unclip the pipe from a couple of things, tells me it was shortened at some point.

the pipe... Burp... Ish now connectded to spark plugs...gip gip.. That are glued to the... Slurr... Mirrors...
