Just a quick question for those who may have fitted an oil pressure gauge to any 2.5D.
I have got the T piece that fits into filter housing but I am struggling to find what sender to get for the gauge? So what have you used before or have you any suggestions on where to look?

Cheers everybody!!

I haven’t got a gauge yet either because I had seen a few kits around and wasn’t sure what was best.
I’m thinking of using an electronic gauge so I don’t have to pipe an oil supply through the bulkhead.

IMHO, a capilliary gauge is the only one likely to give you a consistent reading - electronics are, er, "less than ideal". ( I'm being polite, for once ;)).

Get yourself a Durite one. top quality IME, and the job is done.:)

Yeah I’ve been looking at the Durite analogue style gauges. I suppose fitting an oil supply through the bulkhead wouldn’t be too much of an issue unless it was the leak anywhere.
I will maybe look into that too.

I bought a VDO gauge and electric sender from:

and the corresponding sender:

I attached the Rover Oil pressure switch to one of the t's to keep the dash light active and the oil sender to for the gauge to the other.
They also have a newer type of sender that does both jobs.
My engine runs between 50 and 60 psi. It is great to see the oil pressure instead of just a light.
