I just bought a used Range Rover SE 4.0, I think there is a problem with the shocks/suspension. When I start the car momentarily the dash says EAS Manual which means it is riding on the bumper stops. Also I do not feel the car rise or fall and think it might be riding a little low. The light does not stay on and further it does not put forward the warning Drive slow 35mph. So I am not sure if it is an actual problem or not, and how to diagnose it? Would love some help!
Facts

1. When car is on, in the first few seconds EAS Manual on dash
Then turns off, no further lights are on, no warning not to exceed 35mph
2. I can not hear the air suspension move or see it lower or rise, no lights are on indicating what level it is at on the switch.
3. Today dash said battery low in key fob.
4. Automatic lock unlock works sometimes not others.

Issues:
My research leads me to beleive that the ECU was damaged, but then thought hte ECU can be damaged because the BeCM is not working right. That would explain why no error warnings are flashing and the key battery might be the beggining of an immobilization problem because of the BeCM. This is just a hunch but without errors I just do not know where to start. Also I have the book on the AC which could be a blower etc or another becm issue?

Thanks!

Hi Persianrover.

You best solution here is to get it plugged into some diagnostics. i definately wouldn't start condemning the BECM, in our experience this is rarely the problem.

Where abouts are you?

Thanks
Andy
