Planning a DIY ECU chip upgrade using RPI's Tornado GEMS.

Where exactly is the ECU - I think it is just behind the battery

? Anyone any comments or tips on how to remove one of these things?
 
I would take it to a specialist with all the equipment as you'll land yourself with a whopping bill if it goes pear-shaped
