I am needing to free up some cash so am having to sell my 90, really dont want to but its too much money sitting there just as a toy! I have owned it for 6 months and have spent a lot of time and money making it into what it currently is. I got this as a pretty standard Defender 200TDi, I made sure it had no sunroof or alpines as these are prone to leaking. Since I got it I have done the following:



BRAND NEW Turbo fitted about 1000 miles ago.
New cam belt kit fitted 6 months ago.
New radiator, alternator, starter motor fitted withing last 6 months.
3 belt pulley fitted to allow for twin alternator upgrade (was my next mod)
Silicon turbo hoses fitted.
Fuel pump currently turned up, about 25mpg but plenty of grunt.
Shortened and raised exhaust system custom made.
Fully serviced and checked through.
Oil pressure gauge and turbo gauge fitted.
Full wading kit incl. snorkel, axles, t/box, g/box & timing cover breathers

Full EXTREME4x4 Evo suspension kit which includes
+2" springs
+2" shocks (DeCarbon)
-2" dropped tubular front mounts
-2" dropped rear mounts with rear axle straps to aid in tyre changing
+2" braided brake hoses all round
+2" bump stops fitted
cranked rear trailing arms with poly bushes fitted
dislocation cones front and rear
300TDi Discovery axles fitted with stronger 24 spline diffs/shafts, discs all round and wider/stronger front arms
All handbrake components replaced - needs adjusting though
Front steering rods all upgraded to HD gear
wide angle props fitted front and rear
new A-frame ball joint fitted a month or so ago
Disco transfer box fitted for more comfortable road gearing
15" wellers with 31" INSA sahara turbos with loads of tread left (and brand new spare)

EXTREME4x4 front winch bumper with champion 12000EWX winch fitted
Rock & tree sliders
Diff guards
Steering guard
PRESSBRAKE rear HD crossmember professionally fitted
WIPAC crystal front headlights
Rear side window guards
Full replacement lights - some have still to be done but are there (was replacing as needed)

RAPTOR dash module installed with CB, Radio, battery/boost/oil gauges + switches for lights, winch and 12V sockets
Twin battery setup (Optima redtop starter battery, NUMAX 1000CCA marine battery as second/winch battery) on split charge system.
Fuel gauge & temp gauge upgraded to DURITE marine gauges, battery replaced for rev counter (battery gauges in raptor dash)
Heated front seats
Shortened bulkhead to allow better seat position (I am over 6ft and its very comfy)
Cubby box fitted
Soundproofing & carpet just replaced, all easy to get out and clean
Both doors have just had new window regs fitted
Upgraded front screen washers

Alarm/immobilisers fitted, not a thatcham, more for self peace of mind
Steering lock and safeTlock pedal lock also supplied with it


There are a few bad points, the PAS pump has just started to leak, its letting air in not fluid out and is a bit noisy, has just started a few weeks ago but is not using fluid.
Gearbox 1st gear syncro is worn, has always been like this, got a spare box to throw in but once your use to it it never becomes an issue and is why I havent fixed it yet.
No roof lining although there is insulation on the roof, I have new material but not fitted it yet.
Dent in the OS wing, never got round to doing it, doesn't bother me and no impact on performance.
Rear door window is perspex as it broke under weight of spare, spare now inside.

Im sure theres a few bits I have missed but will update as I remember. This is an awesome off roader, I have taken it laning a lot and its been over to wales where is performed perfectly. I did 1 P'n'P in it where I tested out the mods but didnt try to destroy it, not a fan of P'n'P and I look after my vehicles. I am a mechanic by trade and I run my own garage so everything has been done to a professional standard.

It comes with 6 months MOT and tax, it is in generally good condition, chassis is solid, body is decent, is generally a good condition vehicle

Looking for £4750 ono, 'may' be interested in a px + cash as I intend to get another off roader, just one that better suits my finances at present (i.e. cheap)

Please note the spotlights on top are NOT part of the sale, they are very expensive and I want to keep them, I will leave the wiring in tact so more can be fitted or you can purchase separate for £200 (they are high power CREE LED low consumption lights, expensive ones)

Nice... hope you get a sale to sort you out.

Sadly bad timing for me to invest in another motor else I'd make a start on persuading her indoors.
 
What are you looking for as a trade ?

I have a TD4 freelander on a 53 plate but need a 90.
