well took delivery of this old classic this morning at my workshop (pics to follow)

needs some welding to the floor panels and other areas of structure interior needs sprucing up with re covered seats and new carpet

the alloy wheels are in perfect condition

the engine and gearbox sounds super and just like the old rover v8 should sound

sadly the janspeed turbo is no where to be seen and it appears that the engine has been changed to a n/a (naturally aspirated for all you tech junkies out there)

so if anyone knows of any rover engines that would fit that do have a janspeed turbo i would like to know

this is my project for the next winter and probably part of spring

hopefully be ready for june july maybe on the road

pictures to follow as its sunday and really cant be bothered working.:)

yup on drivers side, passengers is mint lol I guess it never had more than the driver in it.

I also have to replace the rear crossmember and patch the sills a bit, plus intereior and if I am feeling rich the paint too.

I have got all my airtools and a compressor and a mig set and the rear crossmember arrived last week.

I am itching to get started but as I will be working in a carport I am holding off as I know when it gets seilly cold soon I will regret having it in bits for months or broken fingers and skinned cold knuckles!

I am looking at full stainless sytems for the 3.5 so far rimmer bros and double s are the same price at around £420 with liftime warranty but they dont have double tail pipes only a singe which isnt very original

I have heard bad things about double s too.

let me know if you find anything better
