Hopefully someone on here will be able to give me an idea of what a 1964 Land Rover Forward control is worth? theres one up for sale near me, all I know about it, is its had a Mercedes diesel engine fitted, and has a pickup style body on it.

Any help appreciated.

Cheers

I'm referring to the latest LRM mag [oct/2010]. Although it isn't stated. i can tell you series2/2a 109" is around £2000-£4000. And a LWB station wagon is around £1500 - £5000.

As this is a rare landy to come by, i would of thought it would add a fair premium. But i'm not sure. It may not. Would to mine if i put 1 on the market though :p
Also it states that LPG and TDi conversions , along with accessories such as a overdrive etc. add desirability but not much to the value.

Hope this may give you an idea on how much u wanna offer yours for.

Merc engine 2b forward control if it has mot £1000-£1800, little or no MOT £400 £900 depending on condition. worth more to other people but that would be my est would have been carved about to fit ****e engine IMO so not worth all that much to me

It will be a IIa at that age and should have a 2.25 petrol which made it severely underpowered and lots have been converted

As the others have said it depends greatly on condition

They are rare and sort after by collectors. So if are looking for one in particular (I assume not as you would have an idea of cost) it could be worth up to about £4000 If its in really good shape with years MOT. You won't get much for less than £1000 and if you get a chance to see it look and see how much work there would be turning it back to original as this is important for collectors who are the biggest market.

Just my opinion and take it or leave it as you wish

WW

Just looked in LRO and it states £1000-£3750
