Hi Guys, I'm just fitting dampers and springs from a 130 to my 110. Can somebody tell me how the springs and mounts are meant to be assembled. i have the original spring base from the 110 which will remain. On top of that base is now the smaller diameter base to keep the inner helper spring centralised. How are these two springs secured to the axle? Is there just one flat plate that goes across the two springs to hold them at the bottom? Are the springs secured at all at the top? Mine sit in the top mount on the chassis, along with the smaller diameter plate, again for the inner spring.

Thanks

They're only secured at the base by using the flat plates. You may need to pack the base out with washers to prevent the plate bending too much. It should be slightly bent anyway but if you find it's gonna bend a lot use some washers under it to lift it a bit.

You should be pleased with the end result too. I had HD spings and a self leveler on my previous 110 and the ride was rock solid. I could put whatever I wanted in the back and the bugger wouldn't drop at all. I fitted the additional 130 springs to my current 110 and am happy with the result. It's a lovely soft ride and even with the vehicle full of 25 bags of wood it stays that way.:)
