Has anyone tried 100w H4 lamps on their Disco and are they a reasonable improvement, can the loom accept the additional current draw?

if u want to improve the lights, look at hdi's there quite cheap now!

HID but only if you have the headlamps for them and SLS but I tried 100w bulbs years ago in my RR they were better than the standard 60s but not twice as bright, I kept blowing a fuse when I flashed my head lamp though.
Modern bulbs ie. the 50+ or even 80+ are a lot better than the standard 60/55 bulbs.

I've been using 100w H4's in my disco for 6 months or so, much better light and no probs as yet.

they're illegal and an MOT fail if the tester notices while checking the alignment.

mine are fine.
illegal technically, so ditch them for MOT and make sure they are aligned properly so you dont dazzle other drivers, esp if vehicle is lifted etc...
good bulbs though, plenty of spare amperage in the fuses too.
