Well it's been a week now since i became a 1988 90 owner, and it's been an exceptional week.
It started with the trip home from Gloucester in her, 20 miles down the road from picking her up and she cut out, fearing the worst, a quick post on here pretty much isolated the issue and i was again back on my way.
Over the weekend she hauled a garage full of crap to the tip 13 times and didn't muck me about, today she has another load of rubble in the back ready for a run tomorrow.
Also today she was given a healthy 30/70 dose of diesel/oil combo and is running less smoky but more smelly...oh well i didn't like some of the pedestrians anyway
I've spent a few evenings underneath her checking out the various small oil leaks from some areas, sump plug, PS area ( need to verify exactly where, on that tonight ) and looked at ordering various parts ready for the pre MOT session.
I love her, she's everything i wanted in a land rover and more, she has character and fits my lifestyle completely. Most people who see her comment how well suited we are, it's my kind of vehicle
I'm looking forward to many more years and lots of money spent on her ( although the wife has given me ' one of those looks ' everytime i exit the bog after a good session reading the landy mags
Also a quick thanks to those who have helped with some newbie questions, they're not gonna stop btw
