For some of the oldies members on here I'm back !!!!!
Right just picked up an incredible cheap 4.6 hse failed mot on immisons and has an incredible complex service history drives ok when warmed up but on start-up has small misfire now I'm out of touch with lands now so asking the experienced owners to point me in the right direction thanks muchly

The M62 uses Coil Over Plug.....remove a coil pack from another cylinder and swap it to no. 2 and place number 2 on the swapped plug, clear the fault code and see if the fault moves with the coil pack to the new cylinder.

Right now, Eurocarparts are doing one of their many sales and you may get a coil pack at 35% off....so probs about £35 quid or so - if it turns out to be that.

4.6 02 model is unlikely to be coil overs! ;)

Oh, feckity feck......must read posts more clearly....my bad!!!
When you get things right so much of the time, it's fun to find fault hahahaha.
Easy mistake to make and to be fair, I'd still be looking at leads and coil packs so you probably had the right diagnostics, just the wrong model.
Reet desert, wrong tent as they say.
