Hi All

I should have sold this by now but I still own a Disco 2 es premium, owned from new in 2004.
Before that I had a Disco 200 and was regularly asking the forum for advise.

I was hoping someone had the answer to a new fault that appeared yesterday.
The radio has stopped working and has “Phone” displayed on the lcd screen.
Not sure if this means it thinks a phone is connected but it won’t change over to radio or cd or multi cd but the satnav looks like it would work if I could find the disc.

If anyone has any ideas they would be greatly appreciated, I need the music up loud so I don’t worry about all the other noises I can now hear.
All the best
James

I would say that the radio does think for whatever reason that there is a phone connected and active.
Looking at the plug pin-outs, I would conclude that the only external condition which could cause this is a fault, probably a short to ground appearing on the wire which connects to C0098/1 (Telephone mute), the grey plug. Other than that, I wuld assume that the fault is internal to the head unit.
