Not seen the full list yet, but its has new air suspension, brakes, pads, engine harness, fuel pump, and its electronic brain is getting replaced as oil leaked onto it. Its only a 2002 and i thought it would be a quick £500 service.

I put mine in for an 84000mile service to an independant recommended on this forum and came away £1142 lighter.
They did however change

The air suspension compressor
Water pump
Radiator (had a coolant leak and thought it might be the head gasket so relieved it was only the radiator)
and a few brake pipes.

not bad I suppose when there was 12 hours labour at £450 and £170VAT

Seriously though if I took mine in and told em to sort everything it needed I'd probably have to sell the flamin house to pay em:D
Heh heh, me too. I just get the absolute minimum fixed to keep it on the road these days, while of course keeping an eye out for things that will break properly if left unfixed.

Exactly, a good policy - keep the car to the absolute legal safe minimum and spend the cash saved on fun things like gnarly tyres and off road protection and winches etc!!! :D Who needs comfort, it's a workhorse ffs!

dunno how much a water pump costs but:
I changed my Air pump for £200
the radiator for £120
and brake lines for £14

the 12 hours is probably about right...

lol I was asked for a lift to work the other week which I duly gave then a few days later heard that my disco was "filthy and smelt disgusting". Don't bother me though, it's a goer and it's paid for:D
