Hi everyone.
I'm looking to throw around £2000 at my 99 disco Td5.
It's completely stock, it's my everyday driver, it's done 100,000 miles, I do take it off road occasionally for work but nothing serious.
So I'm looking for suggestions as to what I should spend it on. Is there anything I can do to it that will make a marked improvement with that sort of budget? Maybe £2000 isn't enough to make any difference.
I realise its probably only worth £2000 anyway, but I like it, I want to keep it and I want it to last me a while longer.
Any suggestions will be gratefully received.

A service if you want it to last that's a third gone if you can't do it your self.

Tyres are always a good point on here you could ask about them;)

tyres, cambelt, water pump, service just mechanical stuff. get that done and she will have a new lease of life. you can bet with that many miles they will be all mainly origional unchanged parts.

off road parts

-snorkel (can easily make a half decent looking one with a mushroom top filter, pipe and drain pipe/gutter pipe, jubilee clips, silicone sealant

-Jate rings

-All terrain wheels minimum

recovery strop 7ton min and some shackles

-steering guard

and thats all you need for basic off roading to get you by till you can afford winches and suspension lifts etc

hope that helps

Full service everyoil changed!
Waxoil to make it last.
Atleast then u know it will be going for a long time. U could buy a winch and **** but it won't make the disco last forever. Deffinatly get a service and it waxoiled!!
Then get toys and gadgets!!

That's great info guys, thanks. Egr and de-cat were on my list already. ill look into the intercooler, need to find out a bit more about that. 5-600 on ebay? It's very solid underneath so I guess a wax oil would be money well spent. Service, just had an in'n'out oil and filter one so not really that comprehensive. I'm not going to turn it into a full on off roader so doubt ill be going down the lifting, winch, snorkel route. So ill book it in for a proper service. And start there.

Depends what you want to do in it

Engine tune, service etc if you want to improve road manners & driveability

AT / MT tyres, winch bumper, snorkel, etc etc for offroad prowess
