£16k for 03 TD5 90 XS???

Hi, first post on a forum so here goes...!
Looking at buying our second defender 90, the first one was stolen 4 weeks ago . Struggling to find something we love as much and may have found it but wondered if anyone had an opinion on the price of the following (its from a landy dealer) ... 03 TD5 defender 90 XS station wagon, only 44k mileage and in mint condition, inc ABS, A bar and spots but is up for £16k which does include a service, 1 yr mot and 6 month warranty. Any help on value appreciated as last one we only paid £12500 for an 05 county but wasnt an XS etc. Appreciate any help.

sounds very high to me, a year and half ago, i paid 12500, for my 90 TD5, late 2002, Black, A bar, Spots, Boost Alloys, A/c etc (not a XS Spec) but does have extras as such.

Mine had 40K on it, FSH, 1 years warranty, fresh service, MOT (No Tax)

At the time i thought it was a little high, but i wanted it so paid maybe a little more than i should.

I think at this time of year, they do go up in price a little.

TOOOO Much, I only paid 17 for mine and it was on an 06 plate, under 20k miles, extended LR warranty, dog guard, light guards, hannibal roof rack and full LR rubber matting.

Hi, just bought one, 70k 2003 TD5 XS for £13,750 in great condition, 6 months warranty, JE engineering remap and discovery box transfer, which makes a huge difference, so sounds like its over priced to me too. Good luck

imo the dealer is taking the ****, 16k is far too much for a 7yr old 90, you should get warranty (for what they are worth) and any decent dealer should give it a service before they sell it unless it has been done recently.

Last one I sold like that was an absolute beauty, 40k for about £13k, prices are spiralling right now, recently seen prices at least 1k over top book, most seen this week, low miles 06 110 xs, 3.5k over Glasses guide, and it sold!

Winter approaches! Wait till the snow kicks in...then they'll sky rocket in price!
