Went out to my defender 90 td5 this morning, and as I drive off realised the passenger window was open about an inch and the drivers one was open about 1/4 of an inch. I don’t remember opening them yesterday so am now worried someone has tried to get in it overnight??
Anyone know if it’s a way they usually try?? Will be making sure it’s in front of the cctv tonight tho!

Within a week of buying my ninety it was "broken" into. I knew these things are **** easy to get in so left nothing in it to pinch.
They didn't mess with the windows though, reckon they just popped the locks somehow.
Both doors were left not fully closed, just to let me know I'd had visitors.. :(:mad:o_O

Yeah there’s nothing in there to get other than a child seat and a can of de icer!!!
I’ve got one of those cheap lock things that goes over a pedal so it can’t be used. Just wondered if it was a known way they get broken into??

I had a car with a window that would unwind itself, I found the previous owner had put the handle on at 180 degrees offset , so that when you drove it would slowly rotate downwards and undo the window.....LOL.

Cheers

That's interesting, it just occurred to me that my passenger window was open by an inch the other day. It was dark and I
couldn't work out where the road noise was coming from. I'll check that out... Cheers

Funny that, I thought that windows opened at the touch of a button:D What are these 'handles' that you speak of???:p
Years ago vehicles had wind down windows. There was a handle to do the winding. They also had wind up engines. There was a handle for that anorl. Wind up engines stopped production many years.

Cor blimey, you'll be telling me next that they used to have an automatic fire extinguisher to stop yer right leg catching on fire in the rain:p
