Hi all

I became aware of a strange annoyance at the weekend with the l322.

The sound of the indicator!

Where the p38 has a lovely smooth gentle noise, the l322 has a Marina Lucas relay noise.

Am I wrong?

Enjoy the world of RR

My P38 has no noise - I disconnected the speaker because it likes to ping ping ping me when I get to about 115 km/h! :D mind you not that it goes a lot faster anyway.. hardly worth the effort, imho.

Have you ever thought of disabling the speed warning with the button on the indicator stalk?

Its a bit more complex than that. Years ago I used Autologic to customise certain behaviour in the BECM by changing the region setting to Dubai with elements of Australia. Mainly it was disable the immobilizer so my car now locks and unlocks as usual on the remote, alarm works but engine won't disable every time I park near a stray Wifi signal. Side effect of this is that it warns you as you approach 120k. The stalk button does nothing in this case. If I were to switch Speed Warning on in the trip computer then it will also beep at some other speed (don't remember - 30 maybe) and this you can switch off with the button. In truth I have NEVER used the Speed Warning and don't know what its for.

ps. and before someone feels the need to pipe up here, yes, my insurer was informed.

Speed warning on button can be set at several different settings. I just thought it had been set to 120k that's all. Max speed warning can be switched off in BECM, but maybe not if you have it set to another countries settings where it is mandatory..
