I've acquired a new Halfords Advanced Pro set .. £99 instead of £199 .. ;)

Just used it and can see why everyone raves about them .. I've already used their sockets singly and spanners, but the set, complete, is just lovely .. :)

'specially like the wobble joint extensions, so useful!

Got one of those last year to go with me other Halfords socket set and also got a set of their ratchet spanners, they are a good bit of kit well worth there money, only ever broke one thing a breaker bar atachment when trying to undo the dog nut to change the cambelt, and had to get the store manager to talk to as the 18 year old spotty lad on the counter said, I needed my receipt for the lifetime garantee:confused: which after 3years had faded to a blank piece of paper, but after some quotes of what a life time garantee means they finally replaced it.

the tools are good but the boxes are crap and you can't purchase them seperately, the hinges snapped on mine after 3 weeks

Did you use trade card? Get extra off then.

I find it good, you can buy extra strips of sockets like star drives which most of disco internals are

true boxes are crap is using a strap now as a lock . ps dont ever open it up side down NIGHTMARE

Been there done that what a pain, cases are ****e I got one of the roller ball tool chest's for every thing to go in, trouble is it's not portable any more:doh: tool chest weighs a ton and can't be lifted

Aldi Have got some swivel head rachet spanners (8mm, 10mm, 14mm, 15mm & 17mm) for £13.....

.....bargain considering I was gonna fork out £190 for a snap-on set!!

Lol you need to take what you might need not your entire collection , that means don't take the mig welder and the generator lol

halfrauds do a good set - pro range, so lifetime warranty too - but not for £13 tho - 8-19mm for £40

As MHM says go with the Halfords pro range, nice set of spanners, wasn't sure if the ratchet on them would hold up to much, but have been pleasantly sup prized, as a few times I've been hanging off them on a few tough bolts and they have stood up to the punishment.

The ratchets are not cover under life time guarantee but still a good set

Am going to replace my ratchets with snap- on when they all brake av only got 1 left to brake the 1/2 drive

Trying not to be rude but how are you damaging them when you have breaker bars and torq wrenches .
